Mike Etheridge (Mike E) is a multi-award-winning broadcaster and content leader with 20+ years in Australian commercial radio, spanning on-air hosting, content direction, music strategy, and national network broadcasting.
Mike’s career began behind the scenes as a radio producer before moving on air across Mix 106.5, 2DayFM, and The Edge 96.1, where he became a defining voice of Sydney radio. He went on to co-host Mike E & Emma, one of Australia’s longest running and most recognisable breakfast shows, winning multiple ACRA Awards and consistently ranking #1 on Sydney DAB+ Breakfast. The show was syndicated nationally across DAB+, iHeartRadio, LiSTNR, and the Hit Network, and was the first national breakfast program to launch on DAB+, setting a new benchmark for radio.
Alongside his on-air success, Mike held senior leadership roles at ARN Media, including Content Director at The Edge 96.1, where he oversaw station strategy, programming, and talent development. Under his leadership, The Edge became Sydney’s #1 DAB+ station, while he continued to balance executive responsibility with daily on-air hosting. Earlier in his career, Mike also served as Music Director, shaping playlist strategy, audience growth, and the station’s identity in a highly competitive market.
In 2022, Mike E & Emma moved to the Hit Network, expanding its national reach. In 2025, Mike stepped into national hosting with Southern Cross Austereo, delivering programs across 2DayFM Sydney, Fox FM Melbourne, B105 Brisbane, SAFM Adelaide, Mix 94.5 Perth, and Sea FM Gold Coast, while also hosting across the Triple M Network.
Across two decades, Mike has built a reputation for entertaining, opinionated, and relatable broadcasting, combining sharp content instincts with leadership, mentoring, and a deep understanding of modern audio audiences. His career reflects not just longevity, but influence, on air, behind the scenes, and across Australia’s evolving audio landscape.
