Mike Etheridge or Mike E, as he’s been known across Australian radio for more than 20 years is a multi-award-winning broadcaster, podcast host, and media and presentation educator.
Mike began his career in 2010 hosting breakfast on Sydney’s The Edge 96.1, where he quickly built a loyal following with younger audiences thanks to his sharp opinions, humour, and brutally honest style. Over the next decade, Mike and longtime co-host Emma Chow became one of Australian radio’s most recognisable duos with Mike E & Emma, winning multiple ACRA Awards as their on-air chemistry and audience continued to grow. In 2022, the show made the move to the Hit Network, expanding its national footprint. In 2025, Mike stepped into national hosting with SCA, broadcasting across the Hit and Triple M networks, includingstations such as 2DayFM Sydney, Fox FM Melbourne, and B105 Brisbane. He currently hosts National Shows on the Hit & Triple M Network’s.
Beyond radio, Mike is a highly respected podcast creator and educator. His podcast has regularly ranked in the Top 50 on the Australian Podcast Ranker, and in 2026 he launched the podcast Behind the Mic with Mike E: a candid interview podcast that pulls back the curtain on Australia’s biggest podcasters and audio creators to reveal who they really are behind the microphone. That same year, Mike launched his masterclasses, Sound Good on Mic™, helping podcasters, creators, and professionals apply elite broadcasting techniques to sound confident, credible, and compelling on audio.
Away from the mic, Mike is a media and presentation educator with TAFE NSW, where he trains and mentors the next generation of media talent. Through hands-on teaching, podcast production mentoring, and industry-led workshops, he equips emerging creators with real-world skills, confidence, and a professional edge in today’s fast-moving audio landscape.
